UpstartRemote (US)SeniorFull-Time
$160,400 - $223,900

About Upstart At Upstart, we’re united by a mission that matters: to radically reduce the cost and complexity of borrowing for all Americans. Every day, we bring creativity, experimentation, and advanced AI to reshape access to credit, helping millions move forward financially with clarity and confidence. As the leading AI lending marketplace, we partner with banks and credit unions to expand access to affordable credit through technology that’s both radically intelligent and deeply human. Our platform runs over one million predictions per borrower using more than 1,800 signals, powering smarter, fairer decisions for millions of customers. But the numbers only hint at the impact. Every idea, every voice, and every contribution moves us closer to a world where credit never stands between people and their financial progress. We’re proudly digital-first, giving most Upstarters the flexibility to do their best work from wherever they thrive, alongside teammates across 80+ cities in the US and Canada. Digital-first doesn’t mean distant. We’re intentional about in-person connection through team onsites, planning sessions, and moments that spark creativity and trust. And whether you choose to work primarily from home or collaborate in-person from one of our offices in Columbus, Austin, the Bay Area, or New York City (opening Summer 2026), you’ll have the support to work in the way that works best for you. If you’re energized by tackling meaningful problems, excited to innovate with purpose, and motivated by work that truly matters, we’d love to hear from you.The Team: Unsecured Installments is one of Upstart's core lending products, helping borrowers access credit through a seamless, digitally native experience. The team owns critical parts of the borrower journey across offer generation, pricing, underwriting, funding, and borrower experience, while working closely with the broader lending platform that powers Upstart at scale. Recent work has focused on improving borrower flows, repricing and rate flexibility, partnership experiences, and the overall quality of the customer-facing experience. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Unsecured Installments team, you'll be a technical leader for the frontend and full-stack experiences that borrowers interact with directly. Working primarily in React and TypeScript, you'll own the delivery of large, multi-month projects, shape the architecture of the team's mobile-web and full-stack surfaces, and set a high bar for quality across the borrower experience. You'll partner closely with product, design, and backend engineers to turn ambiguous problems into durable, well-architected solutions, and you'll mentor other engineers along the way. How you’ll make an impact Own the design and delivery of large, complex frontend and full-stack initiatives using React and TypeScript, from planning and sequencing through launch and long-term maintenance. Set technical direction for the team's frontend architecture and full-stack patterns, owning a 3–6 month roadmap and proactively addressing systemic gaps that threaten team effectiveness. Partner closely with product, design, and backend engineers to translate roadmap priorities and borrower needs into scalable, high-quality experiences. Raise the bar for engineering excellence through strong component and API design, thoughtful state management, testing, observability, and operational rigor across borrower-facing surfaces. Lead through ambiguity, breaking down loosely defined problems into clear, testable plans and using data to inform tradeoffs on scope, performance, and user experience. Mentor and grow other engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance, and serve as a trusted collaborator across the team. Contribute to how the team uses AI in development workflows and product capabilities, with a pragmatic view of where it can create meaningful leverage.  Minimum Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) and 6+ years of professional software engineering experience. Deep proficiency building complex web applications with React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs. Full-stack experience designing and building backend services and APIs in a language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Node.js. Track record of independently leading the design and delivery of large, business-critical frontend or full-stack projects in production. Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments where product requirements, constraints, and system boundaries evolve over time. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs and align product, design, and engineering partners.  Preferred Qualifications Experience serving as the frontend or full-stack technical lead for a product team or business-critical product surface. Experience building consumer-facing products at scale with strong attention to performance, accessibility, and user experience. Background in fintech, lending, payments, or other regulated financial products with complex user journeys and high quality expectations. Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, or feature-flagging to drive iterative product improvements in production. Familiarity with modern frontend tooling and testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) and CI/CD workflows. Hands-on experience leveraging generative AI in product features or internal engineering workflows. Passion for building products that expand access to credit and improve financial outcomes for consumers.  Position location This role is available in the following locations: RemoteTravel requirements As a digital first company, the majority of your work can be accomplished remotely. Senior Customer Solution Engineer — AI Native/Consumption Quote to Cash

ZuoraRemote (US)SeniorFull-Time
$136,800 - $177,100

About ZuoraAt Zuora, we help businesses grow smarter and adapt faster. Our platform powers modern business models — from subscriptions and usage-based pricing to AI-driven and outcome-based offerings — helping companies launch new products, automate complex billing, and unlock predictable, recurring revenue. We’ve led the Subscription Economy for more than a decade. Now we’re evolving again by building the definitive platform for quote to cash and helping companies monetize their products and services with an adaptable, AI-ready foundation. The OpportunityA technical SaaS sales engineer who captures the technical win on complex billing and quote-to-cash opportunities — with real fluency in consumption/usage-based monetization and AI-native environments. You'll scope, sell and build the QTC solution, not just demo it. Telecom experience is a strong plus. This is a hands-on Solutions Engineer role. Additionally, you’ll also stay close to your accounts post-sale — protecting technical health and surfacing expansion. In this role, you will: Own the technical win. Partner with AEs through complex enterprise cycles — discovery, technical strategy, objection handling, and clear differentiation — to secure the technical decision. Scope, sell, and build quote-to-cash solutions. Translate messy customer requirements across CPQ, billing, and revenue into a defensible QTC architecture — including consumption and usage-based billing models (metering, rating, mediation, invoice presentation, and downstream rev rec implications). Build and manage the lifecycle of proofs of concept as a primary mechanism (think forward deployed engineer) Go deep on consumption and AI-native monetization. Design and demonstrate how customers monetize usage- and AI-driven products — event/usage capture, rating at scale, and the billing and revenue implications of consumption pricing. Build tailored, end-to-end demos and POCs aligned to each customer's strategic objectives — hands-on with APIs, data, and integrations, not slideware. Lead technical presentations for senior stakeholders, including C-level, translating architecture and pricing-model tradeoffs into business value. Build strong technical relationships with customers and prospects — understanding their goals, constraints, systems of record, and operating models. Protect technical health and adoption on your accounts — ensure customers realize value against agreed outcomes, and identify expansion across business units, cross-sell, and add-ons. Influence roadmap by feeding structured customer and market signal to Product and Solutions teams. Coordinate technical resources across Zuora and partners; contribute to RFPs/RFIs, field events, and customer references; support escalations cross-functionally. Travel within your territory as needed.  About YouYou are an experienced presales or solutions professional with a strong track record of owning technical wins in complex enterprise environments. You likely bring: 7+ years in Sales Engineering, Presales, or Solution Architecture — with demonstrated, hands-on ownership of technical wins on complex enterprise deals. Direct billing / quote-to-cash experience — you've scoped, sold, and/or built solutions spanning CPQ, billing, and revenue (not just adjacent SaaS). Consumption / usage-based billing fluency — metering, rating, mediation, and the revenue implications of consumption pricing Comfort in AI-native environments — you understand how AI-driven and usage-based products get monetized, and can architect for that. Technical depth — APIs, integration patterns, data/reconciliation, and modern application architecture. You can debug a failing integration under time pressure, not just describe one. Telecom experience is a strong plus — high-volume mediation, rating, and complex usage models. Excellent executive communication — you shift registers between engineers, controllers, and C-level without losing precision. Structured sales methodology experience (e.g., MEDDIC, Value Selling). Bachelor's degree and/or relevant FinTech / enterprise software background. A strong plus: Telecom experience, especially with high-volume mediation, rating, and complex usage models  About the TeamYou will be part of a team focused on winning and expanding complex enterprise quote-to-cash opportunities by combining technical depth, business acumen, and customer partnership. This team works closely across Account Executives, Product, Solutions, partners, and customer stakeholders to: Solve complex monetization and billing challenges Deliver tailored technical strategies, demos, and proofs of concept Support customers from pre-sales through post-sale technical health and adoption Surface customer insight that shapes roadmap and solution direction Help customers scale modern consumption and AI-native business models This is a highly collaborative environment for someone who wants to go beyond standard demos and play a meaningful role in shaping solution architecture, customer outcomes, and long-term growth. BenefitsZuora offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support ZEOs’ wellbeing, growth, and flexibility. Senior Staff Software Engineer - Data Platform

MarqetaRemote (US)SeniorFull-Time
$200,500 - $250,600

This is a software engineering role on a software engineering team. The team builds and operates the data platform: the infrastructure, abstractions, and SDKs that the rest of Marqeta's data and ML organization runs on. We are not writing pipelines–we are building the platform pipelines run on.If you've spent your career building infrastructure that other engineers depend on; and you know the difference between “software engineering” and "data engineering", read on.We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States or from our Oakland office. We’d love for you to join us!Learn more about our Product and Engineering team.At Marqeta, participation in a rotational on-call pager duty is a required part of the software engineering role. The specifics of the rotation may vary by team, depending on team size and structure, and will be discussed further during the interview process. What you'd ownThe lakehouse and the streaming ingestion that feeds it. Iceberg/Delta on S3, Spark/Glue processing, Kafka and CDC pipelines, the abstractions that let other teams land data, build pipelines, and publish datasets without inventing the patterns themselves. You’d help set the multi-year technical direction, design the golden paths, and ship the work — directly, with your hands on the code that matters. How the team worksYou’d report to the Director of Data Engineering and partner with a peer Manager whose scope is people leadership and operational delivery. You own technical direction, application architecture, and the engineering bar. You’ll work alongside other senior staff engineers across the broader data platform org, and partner with security, compliance, and the consumer teams who depend on what we ship. What "hands-on" actually means hereWorth being specific, because “hands-on” means different things to different people: Yes: writing production code on the platform's hardest problems, owning the design and build of new abstractions end-to-end, leading design reviews, setting the engineering bar through the work itself. Sometimes: prototyping, deep diving on a tricky migration, pairing with engineers on tough problems. What the work looks like Modernization. Building out the lakehouse — the patterns Marqeta will run on for years. New abstractions, new tooling, the paved road internal teams want to use. Live system work. Evolving and hardening the platform that's already in production. Reliability, performance, developer experience — improved without disrupting the teams who depend on it. Engineering excellence. Testing confidence, release velocity. On call, blameless postmortems. What you bringWe care more about demonstrated work than years on paper, but the experience this role asks for typically takes around a decade to accumulate. A career building data platforms, not just pipelines. You can name the abstractions you've designed, the teams that adopted them, and the problems they solved. If most of your last several years has been writing transformations rather than building the system transformations run on, this isn't the right shape. Production depth in modern lakehouse work. Iceberg or Delta in production. Strong fluency in the surrounding stack: AWS data services (S3, Glue, EMR), Spark, Airflow, Kafka, IAM boundaries for multi-tenant data access. You don't need depth in all of it — you need real depth in the lakehouse and credible engagement with the rest. Mastery of Python in a production data-platform context, with credible depth in Go or Java. Idioms, ecosystem, performance characteristics, the parts that bite at scale. The ability to adopt the best tool for the job. A track record of evolving live infrastructure. Improving reliability, performance, and DX on systems that real teams depend on, sequenced so the work doesn't disrupt them. Ownership of major platform transitions. Build vs. buy, migration design, risk management, all the way through to delivery. You've led at least one of these end-to-end and can talk through what went right, what didn't, and what you'd do differently. Influence as a working skill. You build alignment across platform, security, and consumer teams. You write design docs and RFCs people actually read. You can hold a strong technical position and update on evidence. A history of growing other engineers — including peers at your level. The team gets stronger because you're on it. Helpful, not required: payments or fintech context (PCI-DSS, SOX, SOC 2). CDC tooling experience (Debezium, Kafka Connect). Data governance tooling (DataHub, Amundsen, Collibra). Public technical writing or open-source contributions to data infrastructure.Typical Process Application Submission Recruiter Video Call Coding Interview & Hiring Manager Interview Virtual "Onsite" consisting of four 45-60 min video calls Offer! You'll partner with AEs and stay close to your accounts beyond just the deal cycle, supporting technical health and surfacing expansion. In this role, you will: Drive the technical win. Partner with AEs through enterprise sales cycles — discovery, solution design, objection handling, and clear differentiation — to secure the technical decision. AI Compiler Engineer

Competitive Salary

Grow with us AI Compiler Engineer — Research TeamAustin, TexasThis is not a remote work opportunity.MLIR Architecture | Compiler Infrastructure | 5G/6G Silicon | Bare-Metal AIThe MissionMost AI compiler engineers optimize models for GPUs that already exist. You're going to optimize them for silicon that doesn't yet.As our Senior AI Compiler Engineer, you're not porting a framework, tweaking a runtime, or wrapping CUDA libraries. You're doing something far rarer and far harder — building a complete MLIR-based compiler stack from the ground up, purpose-built to run massive AI models like Llama 3 on bare-metal 5G/6G telecommunications silicon, where there's no OS to bail you out and every byte of memory is accounted for.The gap between a research model and hardware-optimized silicon execution is one of the most technically brutal problems in the industry right now. You'll be the engineer who closes it.What You'll Actually Be DoingMLIR Architecture — Own the StackYou'll design and implement custom MLIR dialects from scratch — TableGen definitions, transformation passes, and the dialect conversion infrastructure that bridges the world of high-level AI graphs and the cold, hard reality of custom silicon. This is greenfield compiler work at its most consequential.Lowering & Legalization — Zero Tolerance for ApproximationTake high-level computational graphs exported from JAX and StableHLO and lower them, step by step, into hardware-specific IR without losing a single bit of mathematical fidelity. Every op must legalize. Every semantic must survive the descent.Concurrency & Memory Modeling — Orchestrate the MachineThere's no virtual memory here. No garbage collector. No safety net. You'll build static scheduling and tiling passes that choreograph data movement between HBM and on-chip local memory with surgical precision — because on this hardware, getting it wrong isn't a performance regression, it's a failure.Production C++ — Code That Ships to SiliconYou'll maintain a high-performance, modular, LLVM-based compiler codebase where correctness and determinism aren't aspirational — they're required. This is production compiler engineering in the truest sense.Join our Team What You BringMLIR Mastery — You've built custom passes and dialect conversions, written TableGen definitions, and navigated the full complexity of the MLIR framework in a real production contextCompiler Fundamentals — Deep, hands-on C++ and LLVM expertise: IR structure, pass pipelines, and code generation pipelines that actually shipFramework Integration — You've exported and lowered real models from JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow — you understand the gap between a research checkpoint and a deployable IRDialect Expertise — You know StableHLO or XLA at the op-semantics level, not just the API surfaceWhat Makes You Exceptional:Experience targeting Embedded DSP or VLIW architectures — instruction scheduling, register pressure, the worksAdvanced optimization depth: loop tiling, vectorization, quantization lowering, fixed-point arithmeticHardware-level awareness of DMA engines, multi-level memory hierarchies, and complex number handling in MLIR — the stuff most compiler engineers never touchWhy This Role Is DifferentThis isn't a "make the existing thing faster" role. There is no existing thing. You'll be writing the compiler that a brand-new class of 5G/6G AI silicon runs on — and the decisions you make at the IR level will directly shape what that hardware can and can't do for the next generation of telecommunications infrastructure. If you've ever wanted to work on a problem where the compiler, the hardware, and the research are all moving simultaneously — and where your code will eventually run at the edge of the global wireless network — this is that problem. What happens once you apply?Click Here to find all you need to know about what our typical hiring process looks like.Ericsson uses a merit-based hiring approach that values people with different experiences, perspectives and skillsets. You'll run live sessions and office hours, give real architectural feedback on student deliverables, and act as the escalation point for a team of supporting instructors who handle first-line questions. The best person for this is someone who has actually designed and shipped systems at scale, has opinions about what good architecture looks like, and can tell an experienced engineer why their design is wrong, not just whether it runs.Your audience: experienced engineers leveling up to system architecture roles. Many already write production code daily. They will spot shallow feedback instantly, so the bar here is real seniority, not familiarity.Format: Async-first with scheduled live sessions. Live sessions and office hours are timed around a US-based cohort. Estimated 15 to 25 hrs/week.Please submit all resumes or CV's in English. What you will doHost weekly live sessions across the program, focused on the design and decision layer: where to split services, how systems scale and fail, which tradeoff to make and whyRun group office hours and 1:1 sessions for students working through projects and the capstoneReview student projects against rubrics: the architecture dossiers, deployed backends, cloud infrastructure, performance reports, security reviews, and the final distributed-system capstoneGive architectural feedback, not just pass/fail checks. Catch when a design decision is unsound, an interface is wrong, or a scope is unrealistic, and explain the better pathRun the mock architecture review boards and the simulated executive-panel presentations, and give structured, senior-level critiqueSet the technical standard for a team of supporting instructors who cover questions and first-line review, and act as their escalation point on design and architecture callsRequirements5+ years as a senior software/systems architect, platform engineer, or senior backend/infrastructure engineerHas designed and shipped systems at scale in a real company, not just coursework or side projectsDepth across the architectural spine: system design, API and service architecture, cloud and infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD), and distributed systemsCan explain why a decision was made, not just how it was implemented, and can diagnose and critique someone else's architecture liveStrong technical communication: comfortable leading a live session and writing clear, specific review feedbackStrong English C1+ — instruction and review are in English for a US-based audienceComfortable using AI tools in day-to-day technical workWhat we can offer youMilestone-based payments tied to deliverablesFully remote work with flexible hoursA digital office — we use modern tools (Notion, Miro, Slack, Figma) to keep collaboration smoothProfessional trust and autonomy — no micromanagingThe chance to see real impact: our metric is graduates landing jobs in techJoin a diverse, international, and close-knit team excited to work with you
